Verse of the Day 6/20/25

Psalms 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
Psalms 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Psalms 19:11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Most of the voices outside the Church and even many voices inside the Church tell us that God’s rules and guidelines are out of date. They say that a biblical perspective on the world and how to live in it is hopelessly archaic—like something in a museum. “Times have changed,” they say. “People are more educated, enlightened, and open-minded.” They say the most important thing is to be “tolerant” and “inclusive.” But I’m certain that God has not changed. Neither have His rules and His guidelines. Good is still good. Evil is still evil. Worshiping God is right. Worshiping idols is wrong. A man is a man. A woman is a woman. God’s intent for His people has never changed, and His Word is just as true and valid as it was when its first word was recorded. Don’t allow the world to tell you differently, for the Lord promises great rewards to those who obey.

There are multiple Bible stories in which God hands people over to destructive consequences after they tried to obtain blessings on their own terms. When we cooperate with the Lord, we welcome His abundance.
