Verse of the Day 10/1/25

There is much discussion today about how we “identify.” When providing information about ourselves, we’re often asked to state our gender and the pronouns we wish to be called—and the possibilities are endless. We’ve arrived at this bizarre place not because the ungodly have discovered something new, but because God’s people have forgotten the significance of their identity in Christ. Your identity as a child of God through faith in Jesus is more important than your biological sex or anything else about you. I understand there are forms to be completed and boxes to be checked. But the next time you are asked about your identity, begin by stating your identity in Christ. That will open doors to conversations with the power to transform lives and change the world.

Identifying with Jesus provides a spiritual freedom no other identity can offer. Understanding that will give you a desire to honor Him, follow His Word, and accept the identities He's given you instead of the labels the world tries to affix to you.

26 for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.
27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
